Travelers seeking comfort, style, and exclusive benefits at airports have more to look forward to, as Chase airport lounges are expanding across the United States.

The credit card giant recently announced the opening of five new Chase lounges in 2024, starting with Phoenix and San Diego this winter.

According to Travel + Leisure, these Chase Sapphire lounges promise to elevate the travel experience with unique amenities tailored to the needs of their premium cardholders.

New Openings: Phoenix and San Diego Lead the Way

The first of the new Chase lounges 2024 opened last November 12 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).

Located in Terminal 4’s South 1 Concourse, this airport lounge in Phoenix offers a creative twist on the typical lounge experience.

Travelers can relax on an indoor “patio,” grab a bite from a retrofitted Airstream food truck, and enjoy a curated wine list.

Chase has ensured that every detail adds to the exclusive experience Sapphire cardholders have come to expect.

Next up is the San Diego airport lounge Chase plans to open on December 6, 2024, in Terminal 2 of San Diego International Airport (SAN).

This lounge spans more than 10,000 square feet and focuses on wellness and relaxation. Features include bookable private rest pods, on-demand digital meditations, and a digital wall showcasing drone footage of San Diego’s coastline.

A nod to local culture, the lounge also includes surfboards designed by a local muralist.

“When we opened our first domestic lounge, we were clear that expanding our footprint and elevating the on-trip experience for our Sapphire Reserve cardmembers was a priority,” said Dana Pouwels, the head of airport lounge benefits at Chase, in a statement.

What’s Next: Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles

Beyond the immediate openings in Phoenix and San Diego, Chase lounge locations will expand to Philadelphia in early 2025, Las Vegas in mid-2025, and Los Angeles later that year.

Each of these new Chase Sapphire lounges will cater to the needs of high-value travelers, blending comfort with innovation.

Chase cardholders eligible to access these lounges include those with a Chase Sapphire Reserve, J.P. Morgan Reserve, or Ritz-Carlton Credit Card, all with an activated Priority Pass membership. Non-Chase Priority Pass members can visit one of these lounges once per year for free but will be charged $75 per person per visit after that.

In addition to the expanded Chase lounge locations, cardmembers now have access to more than 20 Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Cafés when flying with a Star Alliance airline, providing even more options for premium travel experiences.
