This winter, Delta Airlines is expanding its offerings to the sunny shores of Hawaii, providing travelers more opportunities to bask in the island sun. Beginning December 19, 2025, and lasting until March 28, 2026. Delta will launch a new nonstop flight from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) directly to Kona International Airport (KOA).
New Delta Flights to Kona, Hawaii Launching This December
This new Delta flight to Kona, Hawaii, adds to the airline’s growing Hawaiian network. In addition to the new Kona route, Delta is ramping up its service between Salt Lake City and Kahului Airport (OGG) in Maui. Starting earlier than usual on October 6, Delta will initially offer four flights per week, increasing daily service in November.
Moreover, for the holiday season from December 19 to January 5, Delta will add a second daily flight for both the Salt Lake City–Kona and the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)–Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu routes. Flights to Kona, Hawaii are expected to be particularly popular during this period.
Delta Airlines Hawaii Routes Expanding for 2025
Delta Airlines’ Hawaii routes will see additional enhancements. Flights between Atlanta and Maui (OGG) will make an early return on November 6, 2025, and the route between Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) and Honolulu will upgrade its aircraft from November 6 through March 28, 2026.
A Delta spokesperson expressed enthusiasm about these enhancements, stating, “We’re excited to strengthen Delta’s network to Hawaii this winter with the addition of new and expanded service, including our new route between Salt Lake City and Kona.”
With seat availability boosting by 10% compared to last year, Delta is committed to offering travelers more ways to revisit their favorite Hawaiian destinations or explore new ones.
