Etihad Airways has launched its newest transatlantic route. The airline now offers a nonstop flight service from Abu Dhabi to Atlanta. The route operates between Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
The inaugural Etihad Abu Dhabi to Atlanta flight departed Abu Dhabi on July 2, 2025. This marks a significant milestone in the UAE national carrier’s North American expansion.
Etihad Expands to Fifth U.S. Gateway
Etihad Airways’ new route represents its fifth U.S. destination. The airline now serves New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Boston, and Atlanta. This strategic addition targets the growing demand for travel between the Middle East and the Southeastern United States.
Atlanta’s position as a major economic hub makes it ideal for Etihad’s continued U.S. expansion. The new Atlanta international flights from the UAE integrate smoothly with the airline’s existing global network.

A350-1000 Aircraft Enhances Passenger Experience
Etihad has deployed its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000 aircraft for the Atlanta service. The aircraft showcases superior comfort and operational efficiency.
The Etihad Airbus A350-1000 service features the innovative Airspace by Airbus cabin design. It includes 56 Business Class seats offering fully lie-flat beds, direct aisle access, and generous legroom. Economy Class passengers benefit from upgraded seating with improved legroom and enhanced cabin lighting.
The A350-1000 also features advanced in-flight entertainment systems and sophisticated air filtration technology for optimal cabin conditions throughout the journey.

Flight Schedule and Expansion Plans
The service initially operates four times weekly. Flights run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Outbound flights depart Abu Dhabi at 9:20 AM local time and arrive in Atlanta at 4:20 PM. Return flights depart Atlanta at 10:00 PM and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 7:30 PM the following day.
Etihad plans to increase the frequency of daily service beginning in November 2025 in response to strong initial demand. The expansion reflects growing interest from both American and Emirati travelers.
Passengers can book flights through the Etihad Airways website or mobile app, and ongoing special promotions are available. Etihad Guest frequent flyer members can earn and redeem miles for additional value.
