Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has announced a significant expansion of its North American operations, set to take effect on October 27, 2024. The airline will increase its service to daily flights between Boston and Abu Dhabi while introducing its state-of-the-art Airbus A350 on the Toronto route.
Increased Flights to Boston
The decision to boost flights to Boston is a response to strong demand since the route’s launch just three months ago.
Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, stated that their Boston service has performed exceptionally well, with flights near capacity since their inaugural flight in March. They’re thrilled to invest further in the North American market by expanding their flight frequency out of Boston ahead of the peak winter travel season.
Etihad will operate the Boston-Abu Dhabi route using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring 28 Business Studios and 262 Economy Smart seats. The aircraft offers passengers a premium travel experience with advanced entertainment systems, in-seat power, and in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity.
New Airbus A350 Service to Toronto
In addition to expanding to Boston, Etihad Airways will start daily flights to Toronto Pearson Airport with the Airbus A350. This move shows their commitment to better customer service and meeting the growing demand in Canada. The Airbus A350 is very efficient, using 25% less fuel and producing 25% fewer CO2 emissions than older models. It also has Etihad’s newest cabin design, focused on comfort and style, making it a great choice for travelers seeking cheap flights to Toronto.
