Planning to book an Uber to the airport for the world’s biggest sports competition? Good news for Uber riders! With exciting new promotions, the rideshare giant is gearing up for the Summer Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.

Uber announced a 10% discount on airport rides from July 22 to September 8, covering both Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports,  according to an article by travel magazine Travel + Leisure

In addition, passengers can save 30% on UberX Share rides within the city when matched with another rider.

This news of the Uber discount aims to ease transportation for the expected 15.3 million visitors during the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games.

Laureline Serieys, Uber’s General Manager of Ride Operations in France, was quoted as saying: “We’re excited to host tourists from all around the world in Paris this summer, and as a token of our appreciation, we’re providing all riders with a welcome discount when requesting a pickup from one of the major Paris airports or train stations.”

Uber to Provide Major Discounts in Paris

Uber has launched a dedicated website for Olympics-related information and will share more details on social media.

While not offering a “first ride free with Uber” promotion, Uber encourages visitors to use various transportation options, including Uber Reserve and Lime e-bikes.

The company also suggests combining Uber rides with public transit to navigate crowded areas efficiently.

With the Summer Olympics 2024 dates approaching, these Uber news updates demonstrate the company’s commitment to supporting the influx of tourists.

As Paris prepares for this global event, Uber’s initiatives promise to enhance the travel experience for Olympic attendees. While the popular ride-hailing company focuses on local transportation, travelers looking to save on their journey to Paris might consider OneAir for flights and accommodations.

OneAir’s AI-powered travel app offers access to unpublished private rates and substantial discounts on airfare and hotels. By complementing Uber, OneAir could help visitors save on their entire Olympic journey, from start to finish.
